Hollie Armitage had a game to remember as the Northern Diamonds won the second of two T20 friendlies against Central Sparks at Weetwood today.
The two sides shared a victory apiece as they warm up for the start of competitive regional action next month.
Captain Armitage claimed 4-13 from four overs of leg-spin as the Sparks were restricted to 122-7, with three of her wickets bowled and the other - former team-mate Ami Campbell - caught behind.
Armitage then anchored a speedy chase with 56 not out off 34 balls, sharing an unbroken 89 for the second wicket with Bess Heath (46) as the afternoon win was secured by nine wickets with a whopping 29 balls remaining.
Katie Levick, who like Armitage is set to play for Yorkshire women in the County T20 competition on Monday, added two wickets.
It was an action-packed day at Weetwood, with the Sparks winning a last-ball thriller in the morning when they gained 14 off the last over chasing 106.
Heath opened the batting and started a very productive personal day with 45 not out in a low-scoring encounter.
She shared 69 for the first wicket with Sterre Kalis, who made 33, though neither side were able to cut loose with the bat.
Unfortunately, when they did, it proved costly for the Diamonds as they defended 105-3.
Campbell made 41 as an opener before falling stumped to Levick in the 18th over - 83-2.
Beth Langston then bowled the final over when Abi Freeborn and Thea Brookes shared three boundaries to secure victory by eight wickets.
